Try to get drive of the same model and swap the board. Chances without specialized equipment are not high but there are some.

Quite often dropped hard drives have seized motor. PCB swap will not help here and usually platter swap is required.

No, that won't work like that. You have to find exact match if you don't have right tools to adapt firmware to SATA board.
