I have 2 failed ST380811AS drives, both with much needed information, both failed on same day. Both drives spin, but are not recognized. Any help is appreciated. Drive specs below:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 80GB
ST380811AS
P/N: 9CC131-302
Firmware: 3.AAE
Date code: 07084
Site code: WU

PCB: 100390920 REV C.

I will return the board if needed, I just need to get the data off. I will pay for shipping and whatever fair price.

If drives are spining, it very unlikely boards have issues.
I would recommend to search for data recovery pro near you.
It might be inexpensive to get your data from your drive at the moment, but you can make it worse if you try to fix it yourself.

Correct diagnostics is almost half road to get your data back.

Wouldn't it be the other way around, if the drive aren't spinning, it would not be a PCB problem?

No.

If your drive/s not spining, its a big chance that board has an issue, specially on Seagate drives.
