				| Hi everyone! I broke another hard drive- this one's from my Alienware m11x R1. It's a 640GB Samsung Spinpoint HM640JJ, Rev. A. If anyone has any leads on a logic board, I would greatly appreciate it. The main signs of trouble are a couple of small beeps, then a regular steady beep every 1 sec. I completely dismantled my m11x as the mainboard was also shorted out, so the drive was unfortunately not the only thing that broke.
 Thanks for any advice!

				| A minor update guys, this is actually the one that says "Spinpoint" on it and not "Momentus." (Why Samsung is using the same brand name as Seagate, I don't know...) For some reason when I checked ebay, a lot of the refurbished ones have a Momentus label though they are Samsung drives. Mine is dated 09.2010, but I'm not sure what firmware revision I have. I'll try to snap a photo of the label when I get home from work today. Later! _________________

				| Thanks for the link! I didn't see any board on there, but I'll keep looking. I had purchased an identical drive (which ironically was also broken) and swapped its board out, but sadly mine has the "click-click" of death. I'm assuming I have a head crash of some kind. _________________

Just search on http://www.hddzone.com with the board number and you can also send email to them for help.
