Hi,
I got a bit too much static buildup installing my new PSU and fried my PCB. The motor chip is melted. The drive would not spin up or be recognized. So, I ordered a PCB off ebay with the identical IC and Code ( I have a Maxtor Diamond Max 9 80gb 6Y080P0), and popped it in.
It spun up!
However, once it spun up I hear *click*beep!..*click*beep!..*click*beep!.. and it keeps doing that.
Do I just need a different PCB? Maybe the one I got has the wrong firmware.
