I bought a new drive for my PC and without backing up just removed my old Hard Drive to use as an external drive later.
I bought an external enclosure which I managed to reverse the 12v & 5 v supplies in. This has fried the diode on the logic board rendering the drive dead.
I bought a new 200Gb drive and you guessed it the Logic Board didnt match. Have now found this website which has prompted me to look for the Logic Board with the correct firmware. ST3200822AS Firmware 3.01.
Please Help!

So you have to find another HDD with exact firmware and Site Code : TK.
But you must also take the controller into considerations, Seagate developed its PCB using two big vendors , you must make sure that your HDD is having the same vendor as the new one.
Ok that means you have to check your PCB first.
The controller is the main chip (biggest one) it's usually AGERE or ST. Under its name ...there are about 8-10 digits of its controller code. You must find the same controller code.

To sum up...
1. same firmware
2. Same Site Code
3. Same controller

Good Luck
