Hello.

Well it all Started when i (STUPIDLY) plugged in my Slave HDD when the PC waz on and it Shorted out so i Quickly pulled the Power Cord Out. When i plugged it back in and turn the power on the Power Plug wire on the PSU Melted. I pulled the PCB off and i blew a Diode near the Power Plug

When i stumbled on this Great site my Confidence on getting my HDD working again Sky Rocketed when i read i could possibly change the PCB Board i made sure i got the Right Firmware Number and same Part number. Today waz the day i finally got the same HDD so i swapped em round and the drive sounds like its spinning but also making wierd noises but is not recognized in Bios or Windows.

So all in all Where can i go from here?? Im not prepared to spend $1500+ on data Recovery, ANY!! Help would be Greatly Appreciated

Details on HDD
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10
ST380215A
80GB
FW 3.AAD

Cheers Again Question Question

Even if you found a correct board, you will have to reprogram it with original ROM info or transfer ROM chip to a new board.
