If you used a pro from the start, the whole thing would be under $100.

I understand everyone is trying to save money, but if you need a kidny transplant, would you buy a book and research on the web how to do it on your own???

The physical data recovery is not something for any computer tech or certified IT people to handle. You have to have a special trainings with special expensive equipment that you don't see for sale in public much. The one you see are an illegal copy or immitation.

There are some things that you have to hire a pro from the beggining to get the things right. Otherwise, you'll end up spending more money and no data at the end.

harddrivespecialist is a Pro and so am I. I'm sure what harddrivespecialist offered you is a reasonable price. Go with it and you'll get your data back! Otherwise, keep looking for someone under $80 and more than likely you'll end up keep buying more PCBs and soon or later you'll end up killing your preamp while swapping the PCBs.

I also sent you a PM a while back. Re-Read our offer, too...

Whoever you purchased the PCBs from, you didn't buy it from us...
Our price would be a bit higher than what you paid for the 2 PCBs you claimed to purchase from someone else...

You would have your data back by now or wouldn't have to pay for the PCB. (We ask our clients to submit the whole drive if they are looking for the replacement PCBs, so that we could test the drive to make sure the PCB was the only problem. If the PCB was the cause, we will complete the swap with the reprogramming and then our clients will be billed. If the drive faces more damages or other issues, they would receive the diagnostic result and given options.

It's not when people joined or how many posts they have placed, but the actual business references may determine who could actually recover the data. I don't think the data recovery firms will take $80 for the whole recovery in their right mind other than the charity works for some future clients...

You never asked our website or actual registered business info, but sent us some nasty unwarranted messages instead. Send that to the person who sold you the non-working PCBs!!!

PS: We never ask for the payment upfront. It is explained to clients that we just need the damaged drive. Payment is requested only if the data is available for the recovery...

Good Luck on your Recovery!!!

Well, after reading all, I feel curious.

Where did you buy your 2pcs PCB? And are you sure that the PCBs you bought were in good working condition ?

If you are sure of that, just match the PCB No. and swap the BIOS chip (it has rom), and then swap PCB.

If it works, everything will be OK, if it doesn't work, find a pro to help you.

I think eveyone here is trying to help you out. And also I think it is not need to be extremely. Smile

I don't know how to swap the ROM.

And yes it is about how many posts you have. You would think that in your profile you would have a link to your website. I would rather give someone my hard earned money that has been on the boards for a while and has helped a lot of people. Not someone who just PMs me asking for money and trying to take my hardware for NO deal whatsoever.

When you send me a message saying the previous offer is REVOKED, you are the one that looks like a jerk. You are suppose to be running a business but you act like you dont give a shit.

All sunnydreamspace did was tell me to paypal him $80. At least he has a link to his site... even though its a crap-tastic blog.
