Dead external drive. Fried Board. Found a replacement.

Possibly.

Number on my board is

2061-701292-C00 AB

Sellers board is

2061-701292-C00 AC

Is that good enough for a u12 switch? I would think so but i'm confused about the two letters at the end.

Thanks.

hi,
you just matching 701292 will be fine. and for this kind of PCB. have ohters model for instead of. like 001292 it's same too. i often said for swap PCB no need to matching hard drive model or DCM any code. just matching PCB model(sometimes similar one will be fine.) here is my experience. please correct if i have any mistake(but without test i won't said anything) Smile thanks.

Thanks for the input guys. I went ahead and ordered the drive.

That video looks good Sunny. The only problem i have is the cost of the hot air solder gun. It's hard to find any for less than $90! I might end up attempting it with just a regular solder gun.
