URGENT!

ALL THE OWNERS OF THESE DRIVES SHOULD CHECK SEAGATE SUPPORT CUZ YOU RUN THE CHANCE FOR IT TO NOT BE DETECTED ANY LONGER IF YOU DON'T UPDATE THE FIRMWARE OF THE DRIVE AT ONCE !!!!!!!!

www.seagate.com/support

THERE YOU CAN CHECK THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE DRIVE AND SEE IF AFFECTED AND DOWNLOAD THE FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!!!!

FOR THOSE WHO DRIVE IS NOT DETECTED ON BIOS YOU CAN CHAT WITH SEAGATE SUPPORT AND THEY WILL RECOVER YOUR DATA FOR FREE OR SWAP THE DRIVE FOR A NEW ONE.

Some of the updates are also bricking drives.

If your seagate drive was in an OEM system and not purchased individually it will likely not be eligible for free recovery.
