Drive just will not come online. Spins up, clicks and WIN reports HDD Found with no parameters(?) When I click on it, it says HDD needs formatting (but 3days ago it was Full of CAD drawings) Took off PCB and cleaned all contact points with eraser and put it back on, screws snug, but same thing. Tried on 2 other PC and 3 other EXT USB enclosures.
Don't know what else to do. I need those files.

Any help appreciated.

If I do manage to get a new PCB, I am also going to need to buy/build a RS-232 to TTL/CMOS gizmo to access and read the adaptive tables so I'll need a DIY doc for that, and the only other choice I see is moving the chips from the old board to new (or vice-versa) as my reading of simple swaps on this forum can and probably WILL fry my drive and data.

I already have a repl HDD enroute to move the data to. I ordered an exact part and model repl., but Seagate is senging me a 9BJ03G-305 // ST3320820A instead. Oh well, I will do what I can until the new HD arrives, then I have to ship off the old one, data and all......
