The other thing that will work is to match the first thirteen digits of the bar code sticker on the 40 pin connector and transfer the firmware from your old board to the new board.

And how would one 'transfer' the firmware?

So when looking for theis 13 digit gode, is it more important to post the codes from the original and look for similar?

Best places besides eBay & here?

The DCM is the firmware. I have seen them change that as often as every few days.
If you can't find a match, you can find a matching PCB
(They do not change the PCB as often as the firmware. They sometimes use the same PCB on other models and even drive sizes)

You can either remove the flash chip from your old PCB and install it on your new PCB or you can buy a chip programer and transfer the code.
