I have a hard drive (as listed above) that spins up, but the heads seem to seek back and forth costantly (the computer never identifies it at all).

Code: YAR41VW0

The board says:

301543100
CALYPSO

I tried a board from another DiamondMax Plus 9 drive that had the code YAR41VW0 and the drive acted differently. It spun up, but the constant head seek stopped. Instead it would attempt a seek every 10 or 15 seconds, but the computer still never recognized it. I have a feeling it was the wrong model board. It read:

301599100
CALYPSO III

My question is, does anyone have a working "301543100 CALYPSO" board for this model drive? Or, does anyone have this model drive for sale? This thing might have a problem with the head motor(?) or something. I'm looking to recover some family pictures from it.

Thanks for any help you can give me![/b]

That was one of the first places I looked, but they didn't seem to have the correct board. Anyone else have one?

Hi there

Are you still looking for this drive? I've just put mine up on the 'Available' section.
