I found your website last night. Read about your story, then read the
other stories. My mind immediately went to my failed hard drive. About
5 months ago my primary drive failed. It contained about 6.5 years
worth of email. It was definitely an internal problem (clacking and
clanking noises). Estimates from recovery companies started at $1,000
or more.

So I figured what the hell, lets freeze the darn thing. I put the
drive in the freezer last night before bed. Gave it 12 hours, then
hooked it up to my current system as the slave. After 2 reboots,
Windows was detecting it.

I was able to spend about 25 minutes getting all of my important files
(including all of the emails) off the system before it heated back up
and began failing again. I never thought it would of worked, but I'll
be darned it did.

THANKS!!!

After the "deep freeze" you may be connect the drive directly to your computer Laughing
Simple rule: when put off some thing from freezer to "room temperature" the possibility to get little water drops is 99.99999% on and in the disk. So if you do this simply the computer will be crashed whon the water Twisted Evil
