On my Vista machine, I downloaded, Installed, registered and ran Genie Timeline from Giveawayoftheday.com.
As a temp situation, I did the backup on my data partition on my hard drive.
It looked like it was exactly what I wanted and I intended to create a backup on another machine on my LAN.

However, Before I did that remote backup...

A poster on GAOTD said Genie would conflict with Comodo Time Machine.
So I uninstalled CTM. That uninstall program on CTM crashed my hard drive.
It won't boot at all and gives a read disk error within 5 seconds.
The only active key I can find during boot is F12.
Pressing F12 indicates after a few more seconds that there was a change in data and It should update the new data to the DMI, but it can't.
My hard drive can't be accessed.

I am confident that Comodo crashed the initial boot code.
Comodo's forum indicates others have had the same disastrous results.
They have admitted the bug and have an update, but that doesn't help me or many others who have crashed their computers.

My Questions:
Will I be able to view the partitions and files, if use another computer to read my crashed drive as a slave?
I don't think there is any physical damage to the disk just initial data missing.
Can anyone offer any other solutions to rescue my disk drive?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Doug
