				| Hi guys, got some more:
Western Digital WD600VE-00HDT0, DCM HYNTJBNB, motor code 1077-T0F0A

 Hitachi HDT725050VLAT80, P/N 0A33407, MLC BA2162

Western Digital WD4000KD-00NAB0, DCM HBHCAJAA, motor code 1111-TJX 01P

 Hitachi HTS541616J9SA00, P/N 0A50520, MLC DA2043

 Maxtor 6V160E003631A, S/N V30BSWBG, F/W VA111630, 4 letters N,M,G,A

Western Digitals need to match every detail here perfectly. Hitachis need the same; the Maxtor needs a perfect match for the 4 letters and firmware, but only the first seven characters for the model number need to match and only the first three for the serial number. A perfect match would be great, but hey, I'm a realist!

As before, all hits to martin.harding@dataclinic.co.uk

				| Missed a few from the last post:
Western Digital WD2500JS-00NCB1, DCM HBCHNT2AHB, motor code 1026PMF0U

 Samsung SP2014N 200GB PATA, part number 1198J1FY611310, revision A

Western Digital WD1600BB-00GUC0, DCM DSBHCTJCH, motor code 1024CAFFF

The WD's need to be perfect matches, and the Samsung needs to match the part number as close as possible.

				| Hi warmonger12z
 I have a Hitachi HDT721010SLA360.

Do you think that only matching the MLC and Part number a PCB replace can be made? your experience?

 Thanks

				| Hi everybody,
 I'm looking for a clone for my dead Hitachi HDD - REF : HDT721010SLA360 (Date Code : Aug-2009 - P/N : 0A37993 - S/N : MS0ZZ3YK - MLC : BA3013).

Suddenly, something has happened on the PC startup and now, this HDD is not recognized by the Bios.

The power supply is Ok on several point of the PCB but nothing happen (no noise, no motor vibrations...).

I understood that i have to exchange the U5 NVRAM from my hard disk to the clone. I'm engineer in electronics so I think i can do it myself.

BUT, unfortunately, after many (night) hours, I haven't found any exact complete clone HDD. Sometimes, it's the good PCB reference but not the good HDD reference and sometimes it's the good HDD reference but not the correct PCB sticker.

So, my question is : Is it really necessary to find the complete reference of my complete harddrive or just a clone compliant PCB (same Sticker reference = 0A29987 BA3263 _ MzK929 06V1).

For the last part of the reference, it seems not necessary to have the exact one.

An other point : I don't remember if i have uploaded a firmware update on this HDD (I don't know exactly if it's possible). Is it a problem or not ?

Please, fell free to contact me for an help, answer, indication.

 Thank you for your Help.

 Best regards.
